Adv Chamisa who addressed the well attended campaign rally in Masvingo yesterday, 20 March 2022, said:
“”What I want to tell you is that demons do not go easily. This culture of violence will not go easily but it will go. Change is coming in Zimbabwe. No one has ever stayed for ever in power. Hitler came and went after his fame, Idi Amin too. Mnangagwa you will also go even if you have not achieved fame.”
When properly construed Adv Chamisa was saying that President Mnangagwa who since 1980 has been a public office bearer and notwithstanding the reality of state failure wants another term in a position of public trust which ordinarily would compel him to be public trust and as such be subject to the scrutiny of the public.
President Mnangagwa who calls himself a SERVANT LEADER is in reality an IMPERIAL LEADER who is feared and as such is not subject to the will of the people.
The constitutional mischief that allows a public office to be used corruptly for personal benefit and entrenchment in public office can only be cured by the people using the instruments that they created to protect the rule of law.
The culture of violence as a vehicle to force outcomes and divide the people will end when active citizenship takes root.
Change is inevitable but the people of Zimbabwe have the ultimate duty to cure the disease of unaccountable incumbency.
