It gave him great pleasure to see Mr. Pillay accepting the nomination and recognition of being regarded as a shining light and a beacon of hope for the continent.

Mr. Pillay believes that the self-defense sport that has been part of his life for a long time should be incorporated into the African education system as part of the drive towards the Africa that we deserve and that is required to deliver a better promise of life.

Karate is a necessary vehicle to address the socio-economic challenges that Africa faces.

The Africa I Want is incomplete without the stories of people like him and as such, I have no hesitation to regard him as my role model and as such a source of inspiration.

Notwithstanding, the fact that he is a dinsquished African who has received a myriad of awards, he humbly accepted our award and to let his light shine together with other African actors in this exciting building of community power initiative.” Singh said.

In acknowledging the recognition for induction to a family of people who are inspiring Africa towards greatness and putting the continent on the limelight, Mr Pillay said: “It is my singular honor and privilege to humbly accept this award on behalf of the KSA family and my personal behalf.

I am eternally grateful to my good friend, Mr. JJ Singh, for this gesture and this speaks volumes on what I have cherished and practiced during my journey of life. When you choose to serve humanity, others notice.

I am also grateful for the karate community for giving me the opportunity to serve.”

“We’re extremely proud of Mr. Pillay’s role and contribution to the karate fraternity. As a person from Africa, his victories and achievements always puts the continent in the path of regaining its long lost gory.

One of the things that is most exciting to us is seeing how the BOAF platform is helping to bring individuals forward so that their life stories can be told as they happen. As a news platform, we are always excited and ready to be a conduit for the expression of Africa’s greatness as represented by people like Mr. Pillay. Said the iniAfrica representative.
