BOAF, C2C and AHS ANNOUNCE THE INDUCTION OF DR. NTSELISENG BOHLOKO

TO THE 10,000 POL – 18 MAY 2021 AT THE ROYAL INDIA RESTAURANT AT 6PM

Johannesburg, May 12, 2021, Connections2Communities (C2C), Banking on Africa’s Future (BOAF) – 10,000 Points of Light (POL) in collaboration with Africa Heritage Society is pleased to induct Dr. Ntseliseng Bohloko, a Pharmacist, RSA Director for Merch Foundation as well as the Ambassador of the Foundation for Lesotho, to the 10,000 Points of Light – Hall of Fame.

BOAF is an initiative of the 1873 Network, a member-based not-for-profit organization established in South Africa whose mandate is to provoke, inspire and ignite new and innovative ways of problem solving in Africa based on connected, equipped and forward leaning voluntary actors.

Upon her nomination to this community of forward leaning and pathfinding professional and business actors that make Africa to shine bright, Dr. Bohloko who recently joined the Banking on Africa’s Future initiative said that she is humbled to be part of such a great movement.

“Mind blowing, God has His ways/time of making like-minded people meet. It has been my desire to see the old village principles being revived, through Mercy Foundation we were/are taking baby-steps to revive the family/village principles applying modern technology, now here I am at Africa Heritage Society.

I am humbled by this overwhelming welcome to a home that I have always been yearning to belong to.

Africa is beset by myriad of challenges but it is gratifying to know that notwithstanding these challenges, there is a lot happening in the continent that is worth highlighting.

Our continent is a richly endowed with largely untapped resources to make our candles shine and welcoming to the world to be part of the African story.” She said.

The 10,000 Points of Light Director of Programs, Mr Jagjit Singh said that he is excited about the induction of Dr Mohlobo whom he met at the Royal India Restaurant in Sandton, Johannesburg on the 3rd of May this year during the launch of Mr. Mawere’s book ‘When Minds Meet’.

“I am pleased to welcome Dr. Bohloko to a family of community light bearers because I know that there is no one waiting for us to deliver the promise that the market is waiting for except ourselves.

Yesterday at the birthday of Ms. Nosipho Kunene, the wife of Mr. Xolani Kunene, we had the privilege of talking with Dr. Lawrence Mbobo, a fellow inductee, who is working on an innovative and creative business platform for doctors and care providers like Pharmacists.

His platform is meant to effectively and efficiently respond to the impact of Covid-19 on human and business processes and as such, I believe that BOAF provides an opportunity for people like Dr. Bohloko and Dr. Mbobo to collaborate in the delivery of excellence in the medical field.

I believe that building our own COVID-19+ Initiative can provoke medical practitioners to collaborate in creating cost effective solutions and as such, I am excited that the 18th of May 2021 induction ceremony will provide us with an opportunity to interact with problems solvers.”

The 1873 Network, Chairman, Mr. Mawere, expressed his excitement about Dr. Bohloko’s nomination and the soon coming induction ceremony and described human beings as great treasures and the drivers of change.

“I am excited to announce the forthcoming induction of as one of 10,000 candles in Africa. As members of the 1873 Network, we believe that the individual is the driver of change and that the earth’s greatest treasures acquire value through the agency of human beings.” Said Mr Mawere.

While commenting on the same issue, Mr. Frederick Koomson, a BOAF MEDIA Producer and fellow Points of Light inductee, praised Dr Bohloko for being an active African citizen.

“I am excited to welcome Dr. Bohloko to this promise and I am encouraged that she is an active citizen of Africa who has been providing consultancy services to pharmaceutical industries.

Dr. Bohloko is involved in community development as the resident Administrator for Mercy Foundation, a faith based initiative addressing food security/community development and preaching of the gospel irrespective of denomination.

She has been instrumental in the organization’s successful partnership with schools/churches in the distribution of food parcels every Friday countrywide where parcels are collected at central points where there are containers for onward distribution to homes.

Dr. Bohloko is also the Ambassador for Mercy Foundation Lesotho where they have partnered with LECSA and the Chamber of Commerce to kick start charitable activities. http://www.mercyfoundation.online
