JOHANNESBURG (MAY 22, 2020) – Mr. Jagjit Singh, the Chairman of the Banking on Africa’s Future (BOAF) – 10,000 Points of Light (POL) Hall of Fame Initiative announced today that Mr. Lovemore Chanengeta, the founder and CEO of Lvmre Limited, a company incorporated and operating in terms of the laws of SA, has been elected to the 10,000 POL Hall of Fame Honoured Membership, in the ICT solutions Category.

Lvmre Limited is a leading provider of pathfinding and world tier, end-to-end information and communications technology universal problem solving solutions.

Mr. Chanengeta will be inducted tomorrow, 23 May 2021, into the 10,000 Points of Life (POL) at The Royal India Restaurant in Sandton, for his excellence in the digital property arena where he is creating trailblazing ICT solutions.

While commenting on Mr. Chanengeta’s nomination into the Hall of Fame, Africa Heritage Society (AHS) Chairman, Mr. Mawere said “When Mr. Singh informed me that Mr. Chanengeta had been elected to be part of this Hall of Fame, I was personally elated because there are very people in this continent who stands out and are proud and confident of their excellence like him.

He walks the talk and has distinguished himself as a problem solver.

I can only imagine what difference it would make if in the target 10,000 shining stars, icons, points of light, legends and pathfinders, we could identify 100 tech savvy doers like him.

When the truth is exposed about what he has built as his own digital blueprints, there is no doubt that Africa’s brand as a lagging and Dark Continent would take a different personality.

It is significant that tomorrow happens to be his birthday and there can be no better birthday present to him than his induction into the 10,000 POL – Hall of Fame.

On behalf of AHS, I am pleased to announce that by the power vested in me, I have proclaimed 23 May as a MR. LOVEMORE CHANENGETA APPRECIATION DAY in recognition of his contribution in shaping and defining the personality and character of Africa’s brand.

Ideas inform ideals. The digital era has made the world smaller and as such the barriers that divided humanity are being broken daily by people like him. I am excited to have him as a member of the heritage bank of Africa.”

Mr. Chanengeta said that he was highly honored and grateful to be recognized and nominated fo such an honor.

“This means I will never be able to thank Africa enough. It makes wish I had 36 hours a day so that I could do more. The nomination on its own is sufficient appreciation. Just imagine shining bright at the end of the tunnel for the Africa that I want to see.

Thank you for allowing me the honor of building the Africa I want. Banking on Africa’s Future is indeed a bank that we must deposit into.

Notwithstanding, I wish to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation of it not least because I believe in craft excellence but absent visibility, the idea that there is nothing much happening in our continent takes root.

After defining a pathway in the arena of education management and information systems, I have been a pioneer in developing universal solutions that are being used across many value chains.

It is my hope that when the bank opens its door with 10,000 pre-signed members, my presence in it will provoke, inspire, and ignite new ways of playing our parts in driving the agenda of solving the triple challenges of poverty, inequality, and unemployment.

I am glad that my birthday will be used to showcase our personality in such a way which is a dream many and yet has been made a reality to a person like me.” He added.

Mr. Frederick Koomson, a member of BOAF MEDIA network said: “I have been following Mr. Chanengeta’s story for a long time.

I was particularly impressed that even our own Mr. Singh speaks highly of him. He is a genius at what he does. It is important that we salute our own in order to inspire others to be problem solvers par excellence.

We believe that economic freedom can best be won through a market system by free actors.

I am inspired to use the media to tell the true African story so that people like Mr. Chanengeta can take the rightful story in the bank of stories and memories.”
