Sermon Notes: 📝

When I’ve needed things in my own life, I’ve always stood on Mark 11:23: “Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. In addition, I said (or confessed) what I was believing God for. I’ve always just said it, and not prayed it (When another person is involved, however, what they believe can affect your prayers; especially if they are not in agreement with you.)

I haven’t prayed about money for years, and I’ve never been without money. I always just say, “The money will come,” and it comes. When I need a certain amount, I am specific in my confession: I specify the amount I need. Once I needed 1,500 by the first of the month. So, I said it and I kept saying it. During times of prayer, I didn’t pray it; I just said, “By the first of the month I’ll have the

1,500.00. Immediately when the first of the month came, I had the 1,500! Praise the Lord!

Confession: I hold fast to my confession of faith without wavering, for He is faithful who promises and I have what I say.

“Put Your Faith in Neutral”

Believe that God will do what He says and God promised to supply our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19). So, when the couple’s income wasn’t where it needed it to be, they asked God to increase their finances not once, but three times. God answered every time!

FROM MY EXPERIENCE throughout the years of preaching faith, I’ve concluded that more people fail when it comes to faith for finances than anything else.

From the Book of Isaiah 55:11

The Message

8-11 “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, so will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them.

God proved that He is faithful to His Word when you steadfastly stand in faith. That’s because they’re trying to exercise faith but haven’t sown any seed! They want God to bless their finances even though they haven’t planted anything. Even so, it’s amazing how He’ll have mercy on them and help them. The Bible states, in the book of Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” The Bible also says, in the book of 2 Corinthians 9:6“He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”  If you want a bountiful crop, you must sow bountifully. A lot of people want to be healed, but they don’t want to hear anything

Using Our Authority for Finances

After the Lord showed me this, He said, “Whatever money you need, just claim it.”

Our Authority in Christ

We have a right to claim our needs met because Jesus came to the earth and defeated Satan. We’re in the world but we’re not of the world (John 15:19). Since we still must live in this world, we must use our God-given authority to enforce Satan’s defeat. This is how we will enjoy the blessings of God we have in Christ, including financial prosperity.

Believe and exercise your spiritual authority in finances.

The Lord said to me, “Don’t pray about money like you have been doing. Whatever you need, claim it in Jesus’ Name. Then tell Satan to take his hands off your money and command the ministering spirits to cause it to come.”

The Lord said, “Didn’t you read in My Word, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?’” (Heb. 1:14). “For” means the angels were sent to do something for us.

WHEN GOD CREATED the world, He gave dominion over all the works of His hands to Adam (Gen. 1:26, 28). In one sense, then, Adam was god of this world, because God turned it over to him.

But we read in Second Corinthians 4:4 that Satan is now the god of this world. How did that happen? Adam committed treason in the Garden of Eden by wilfully eating of the forbidden fruit (Gen. 3:1–7). When he did this, he gave Satans men dominion over the earth.

In Luke 4:6–7 Satan said to Jesus, “All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.” Who delivered this power to Satan? Adam did!

The Lord showed me this and related it to faith for finances. As I prayed and waited before Him, He said to me by the Holy Spirit, “The money you need is down there. It isn’t up here in Heaven. I don’t have any money up here. I’m not going to rain any money down from Heaven. If I did, it would be counterfeit, and I’m not a counterfeiter. It’s Satan who is keeping money from coming, not Me.”

Then I remembered that Jesus said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom” (Luke 6:38). When men give to you, God is behind it. But it’s still men giving it.

After the Lord showed me this, He said, “Whatever money you need, just claim it.”

SOW A SEED TO GOD

THE FIVE WAYS

1. You don’t plant your seed at all. You keep your seed. When Noah came forth from the ark after the Flood, the earth was completely stripped. Yet God told him that there would always be seedtime and harvest in the earth. It looked hopeless. But God said, “Noah, you can plant a seed.” Friend, however hopeless things may look for you right now, God gave us a formula of how to plant our seed for a harvest. One thing is certain if you keep your seed and don’t plant it, there will be no harvest! God has taught me that a neglected or rejected opportunity to sow my seed is a lost opportunity to receive.

2. You can plant by the “wayside.” The Lord said that the birds come and eat this kind of seed, meaning the devil comes and steals it away. God is saying that you must have purpose in your seed planting. You must choose your soil wisely. You must sow your seed where God’s work is really being done. That’s where the good soil is.

3. You can plant on “stony ground.” In other words, you can plant your seed where the soil is shallow. It will come up, but it won’t last. The Lord said that when the sun gets hot, it burns up this kind of seed. If you plant where it’s too easy, you won’t have much of a harvest.

4. You can plant your seed “among the thorns” or weeds. As the seed begins to grow, thorns will grow up and choke the life out of other words, you can plant your seed where the soil is shallow. It will come up, but it won’t last. The Lord said that when the sun gets hot, it burns up this kind of seed. If you plant where it’s too easy, you won’t have much of a harvest.

5. You can plant your seed “among the thorns” or weeds. As the seed begins to grow, thorns will grow up and choke the life out of it That means if you’re planting for the wrong reasons —to be well thought of or to be rich and powerful for yourself only—it will destroy your seed.

 6. You can plant in “GOOD SOIL.” Know where your seed is going. When you plant into the work of the Lord, believe God that it will be used for the salvation of souls and the healing of broken lives so the kingdom of God will increase. Then it can produce a plentiful harvest—30-, 60-, or 100-fold (see Matthew 13:8)! “I DON’T HAVE ANYTHING TO GIVE!” Some people think they don’t have anything to give to the Lord. But everybody has something they can give.

Seed-Faith living means that you do what Jesus did:

✔ You love first.

✔ You give first.

✔ You forgive first.

✔ You apologize first.

✔ You pray for others first.

✔You smile first.

✔ You go the second mile first.

✔ You take the first step.

When you do these things, you initiate a new direction in your life. YOU SEED TO GOD, YOUR SOURCE FOR A MIRACLE!

What’s the Cure for Stress?

The book of Romans 8:32 (TLB) says, “Since he did not spare even his own Son for us but gave him up for us all, won’t he also surely give us everything else?”

If you want a cure for stress, look to God to meet your needs.

The major cause of stress in your life is worry. You worry because you wonder if you will have what you need when you need it. But any time you expect people or things to meet your needs instead of God, you’re going to be frustrated and disappointed, because nobody on earth can meet all your needs. Only God can do that.

Some people find their security in their job, and when they lose their job, they lose their peace of mind. Others put their security in their marriage. Then their spouse dies, or they go through a divorce, and they ask, “Who am I? What is my identity?” Or maybe you put your security in your money. But there are a lot of ways to lose your money.

I recommend that you never put your security in anything that can be taken away from you. You can lose your job, your health, your reputation, your spouse, and so many other things. But you cannot lose your relationship with Christ. When you put your security in that promise, you can trust God to meet all your needs.

The book of Romans 8:32 (TLB) says, “Since he did not spare even his own Son for us but gave him up for us all, won’t he also surely give us everything else?”

If God loved you enough to send Jesus Christ to die on the cross, don’t you think he loves you enough to take care of every other need in your life? Yes! Of course, he does. Every time you start to get stressed, pause, and say, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1 ESV). God’s going to provide. He’s going to take care of you. Instead of stressing out, look to him to meet all your needs.

Ask yourself these Questions?

  • When you have a need in your life, what is typically your first reaction?
  • What do you need in your life today?
  • How can you show others that you trust God to provide for it?

Money Is an Amplifier

  • The devil is a liar. The only way he can destroy God’s work in you is to get you to believe his lies. For years, much of the church has believed that to be holy and to be humble, to be glorious and sanctified, we must be poor. Satan will cause fear to increase in people if you start mentioning the word money in a church. I’ll tell you why. Many have been taught that money will corrupt you, that money will give you bad character. That is a lie! Money is nothing more than an amplifier.
  • Money amplifies the character that is already within you. It doesn’t change your character. We’ve used that as an excuse for too long.
  • The Bible never says money will corrupt you. We have all heard that the Bible says money is the root of all evil. No, it doesn’t! The Bible does not say that! The Bible says the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
  • You trace it out and you’ll find the love of money is what is behind pornography. The love of money is what’s behind murder. The love of money is what’s behind gambling. That love of money is behind every sin that there is. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. But it’s not the money.
  • “Look among the nations and watch; be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you (Habakkuk 1:5).”
  • God is getting ready to do a work in these last days in His church that is so astonishing, so phenomenal that some of us will not believe it even after it is told to us because it is something that will just set us ablaze with the glory of God. We must be ready. People are going to be drawn to the glory of God. They are not going to be drawn to a beat down, wimpy church.
  • Most Christians have the door closed when it comes to prosperity in their lives. Don’t let yourself become accustomed to believing that things are never going to get any better. We must start living in the overflow. The man who fears God lives in prosperity.
  • “Who is the man that fears the LORD? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the earth (Psalms 25:12-13)”. Who is to inherit the earth? You and me! We are the descendants. We are the ones who inherit.
  • God enjoys our prosperity. “Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor My righteous cause; and let them say continually, ‘Let the LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.'” It doesn’t say pleasure in the poverty of His servant, but pleasure in the prosperity of His servant. This is not just talking about money. It is talking about living in the overflow of God’s goodness and His abundance. WOW!
  • “Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth, who shall hear all the good that I do to them; they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness (the glory) and all the prosperity that I provide for it (Jeremih 33:9).”
  • You may say, “Well, that’s for Israel, not us.” Wrong! Galatians 3:29 says, “And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to the promise.” We are the inheritors of the promises.

Remember This: Why can you trust God’s promises in his Word?

Many Thanks, I love you and I’m praying for you!
