Goodbye to 2022 BY-ELECTIONS but wounds remain

Who won and who lost should not be the issue but the mere fact that elections were held should be a cause for celebration in Zimbabwe.

POLAD is dead but introspection is necessary not least because generally, Zimbabweans have lost faith in the power of the ballot to change the status quo of 42 years.

The state and hegemony over its organs will always be a factor that will haunt all elections.

Mwonzora should not be the subject of attack for he like all of us is entitled to offer himself and his colleagues for service.

The fact that his colleagues did not succeed should not detract any of us from fixing our eyes on the prize.

Is the government captured? Yes

Can any rational person trust the independence and impartiality of the judiciary? No

Can you bank on parliament to do its duty? No
