Mr. S. Kadzunge, a member of BOAF-10,000POL, speaks on AfricaEmart as a weapon for SMMEs to aggregate, accelerate and optimize outcomes.

He said: “The promise and challenges of building the SMMEs as a reliable bank for the future inclusive development of Africa are not in dispute but the idea of building Banks of Hope is foreign to many individuals who believe that ownership is the ultimate prize rather than being part of a platform that is premised on value streams and exchanges.

I was privileged to be part of the presentation made to a South African government department responsible for spearheading the development of an ecosystem that is supportive of the SMME sector.

I was encouraged that the meeting was not prescriptive and focused on procurement but was about addressing the key challenges that confront business actors.

Knowledge, execution, and capital were identified as key factors in broadening and deepening the role of small businesses in delivering promises efficiently, conveniently, and effectively.

If brands like UBER EATS can penetrate and revolutionalize the food value chains in countries like South Africa, then we are all compelled to think outside the boxes of traditional thinking to create our own platforms.

It was unfortunate that time was limited but the presentation by Mr. Lovemore Chanengeta, Founder and CEO of Edusyms Pty Limited www.edusyms.co.za was not only inspiring but mind-provoking to shame people who believe that Africa is a dark continent in terms of building platforms that can help digitally to transform a mobile phone into an alternative and friendly bank and supply chain optimizer.

I look forward to presenting the www.africaemart.co.za platform, a platform that has been made available by a member of the BOAF-10,000POL, as a wholesale or highway to provide convenience to small business actors who have no BIG BROTHER OR SISTER to bank on to provide the kind of support that is necessary but missing in the supply side of small businesses.

Money has historically proved to be the last thing needed. Tell me of any business where money multiples without human agency.

We all need mentors and people to bank on for knowledge, implementation experiences, and finally capital yet the few who are the shining stars in business are not easily accessible to make the typical pyramid of aspirational development flat and depressing.

If I wanted to meet an icon and billionaire like Aliko Dangote, what would I need to do to access him just to touch his hand?

Apart from attending conferences that are very expensive to attend as a delegate, there are few platforms that exist for small players to access their inspirational points.

It is indeed DARK at midnight in Africa and this is why I am inspired and ignited to be part of the AFRICAEMART project that is powered by BOAF as a weapon that is collectively shared for use in the WAR AGAINST the TRIPLE CHALLENGES of POVERTY, UNEMPLOYMENT, and INEQUALITY.”

Mr. Joseph Mudekunye, a member of BOAF and one of the 10,000 POL, who is based in the United States, said: “I invested in the AFRICAEMART platform to provide a platform for people like me who are based in the AFRICAEMART and E-BOAF platform as a way of playing my part in giving powerful tools to persons who need access to markets and who need not wait for a human being of flesh to lift them but who understand that value gives value.

Even if one lives in a small village and is a chicken farmer, the person can list the chicken on our shared platform and buyers can pay with E-BOAF, a currency that has been created to allow buyers and sellers to exchange value electronically without any direct bank involvement.

I was talking last week with Mr. Tinashe Mpasiri, a fellow member of BOAF who is also in the 10,000 POL Hall of forward-leaning individuals, who is working on a project to bridge hard body chicken suppliers to retail buyers.

It occurred to me that by using E-BOAF one can introduce prepaid chicken at a discount and through agents or business correspondents there will be no need for using the traditional chains.

If prepaid airtime and data exist, why should prepaid chicken not exist?

If UBER EATS exists without a kitchen, then surely the sky is the limit.

Please visit our sites www.e-boaf.africaemart.com and www.africaemart.com to explore what is available if you choose to be part of this winning proposition for SMMEs.”
