“Africa is neutral and possesses no ambitions but its inhabitants without exception,” said Mr. L. Chanengeta is a trailblazer digital nerd who is shaping and defining a new African personality and character.

He further said: “Being one of the 10,000 Points of Light (POL) under the Banking of Africa’s Future (BOAF)’s initiative aimed at converting 10,000 human connections into an organized community of forward-leaners has provoked me to excel and acquire the title of one of AFRICA’S TECHNOKING.

I know I am not alone but through sharing my own story, I do hope that others will see value in sharing their own stories so that together we can build a community of shared understanding that the future is shaped today by acting on dreams that speak to the human problems.

To me, the BOAF initiative is, indeed, learning in motion.

I recall listening to programs that were hosted by Mr. Tinashe Mpasiri on the 1873 FM internet radio station, an initiative of Africa Heritage Society (AHS) in collaboration with the 1873 Network to promote inclusivity in the affairs of humans, which spoke to the issue of identity politics, citizenship and nationalism and I was intrigued as to why identity would inform this topic as worthy of provoking thought on the future of Africa.

Ideas do matter and it is a concern to me that at a time when the world is divided more than ever, the discussions in many human groupings are devoid of the promise and challenges of building a borderless and diverse Africa that measures a human being’s value in terms of the problems solved but that is affinity-centric and birth-place focussed.

One cannot change the facts and circumstances of birth including one’s parents or place of birth but one can choose the address to use in solving problems that affect all human beings.

Why and what exactly is identity?

I believe that this initiative to identify, showcase and celebrate people like me whose contributions to the character of the Africa that is at work through human agencies is critical and defining.

As I respond to your questions, I am listening to Identity Song by Burning Spear in my head right now and I just remembered that Queen Elizabeth is from Germany and that Mountbatten-Windsor is the personal surname used by some of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh’s male-line descendants.

Any company name plays a monumental role in a brand’s growth and perception, meaning it can completely make or break a company. It is important to have a name that communicates the business strategy.

I became inspired to solve problems using technology in its most basic form, allowing the hungry to remain fed and farmers to produce nourishing, nutritious fresh produce.

After zooming in to a particle level view of the lifecycle of a kitchen-farm relationship, I realized the need for industry-specific solutions that address problems categorically while also using machine learning to grow self-scaling solutions to allow a broader appreciation of being able to turn all weaknesses in the chain into strengths and maximize the potential of all upward and forward-leaning particles in the life cycle of a kitchen-farm relationship.

South Africans eat approximately 28 million chickens per week. Kleinwater College, a boarding school in Mpumalanga, about 25 kilometers out of Witbank town towards Pretoria, approximately 10 kilometers off the N4 highway, has 103 learners enrolled in grades 7 to 12, all of whom are living at this school on a farm, including a staff complement of 35 members.

Every week, this community consumes about a hundred chickens. Similarly, there is another boarding school in Limpopo with 1287 students who eat chicken as well. Both of these schools manage their learner records, boarding facility, kitchens, stock, and inventory with eduSYMS. They can do both at the same time.

These are some of the issues that agriSYMS seeks to address, including the issue of identity.

Applying the agriSYMS approach to these two schools results in a fully stocked kitchen and a well-satisfied and very demanding clientele from the school radius, not to mention the learning problems solved in this converged learner-centric approach powered by eduSYMS.

The best days for Africa and its human actors are yet to come. The continent may appear to be dark at midnight but there is a lot that is happening for me to be encouraged that the more I tell my stories, the more others will step forward and step up to the plate.

There is more happening in the tech space in Africa for any rational person to be discouraged about the future than is possible when we choose to reason together but act in the manner prescribed by the triple challenges of poverty, inequality, and unemployment that call on us to put our hands on deck without using race, tribe, faith, gender etc as weapons to build walls and not bridges.”
