After 28 years of democracy, is it not ironic that the relationship between native blacks and the genetics of cattle has resulted in Mr. Dube, being the only black member of the Brahman Cattle Breeders community as a paid up member?

The conversation below is instructive as it is educational that the quest for inclusion remains a promise and a challenge.

It is against a background of the well-established relationship between livestock and the majority Africans that one must ask why the numbers don’t add up especially in relation to South Africa, the most developed African nation-state.

Why only Mr. Dube, one may legitimately ask? Why is it that in relation to commercial livestock value chains, blacks are missing in action?

Is it because blacks are allergic to value-centric ecosystems or there exists a deeper and more fundamental problem that needs to be openly and transparently addressed without surrending to the white privilege diatribe.

If a person like Mr. Dube can do it, then why can’t more do it?

[9/11, 10:14 AM] mdmawere1: Hope no offence caused.
[9/11, 10:18 AM] Khuphukile Dube: Absolutely no offense, it’s just emotional come to think.of it because even as we speak I think I’m still the only black member of the Brahman Cattle Breeders here in SA
[9/11, 10:21 AM] mdmawere1: What? Are you serious? A population of 60 million and after 28 years of the promise.
[9/11, 10:22 AM] Khuphukile Dube: Then I’m also a member of the Arabian Horse Society SA, and a member of the Dutch Fresian Association and I’m sure you can answer yourself if I asked you how many blacks are members of these societies, maybe in Africa I’m the only one. So, it is something that needs a lot of effort and encouragement to our own.
[9/11, 10:37 AM] Khuphukile Dube: On the Fresian horse breeding, the Dutch inspectors omega into the country every year to che k the quality of our new or young horses bred in that year. They then certify that your horse is bred according to their standards, I have a few medals from these Dutch inspectors rating my horses bred in this land.
