SOUTH AFRICA – UGANDA BUSINESS FORUM FEBRUARY 2023

President Cyril Ramaphosa will host President Yoweri Museveni with a business delegation during February 2023, which will include a Business Forum in Pretoria.
 
South Africa exported goods worth about R2 billion to Uganda in 2021 and Uganda’s economy grew by about 4.6 percent in 2021.
 
Research indicates that there is an unexplored opportunity of R1 billion for South African exporters.
 
The Business Forum aims to provide opportunities to entrepreneurs, exporters and importers of both Uganda and South Africa. Furthermore, the Business Forum encourage networking and information sharing among participants in order to foster business relationships. Thought leaders share their experiences, thoughts, knowledge, unique ideas and other useful information to participants. Business to Business meetings with Ugandan companies are also part of the programme.
 
It is against the afore mentioned backdrop, that the DTIC is conducting a survey to determine the interest of firms to participate.
