Deputy President Shipokosa Paulus Mashatile is set to deliver the keynote address at the inaugural Youth Investment Indaba, hosted by the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), on Friday, 31 October 2025, at the Houghton Hotel in Johannesburg.

Deputy President Shipokosa Paulus Mashatile.

The Youth Investment Indaba represents a pivotal step toward mobilising resources and partnerships for youth-led development in South Africa. Bringing together leaders from government, the private sector, development finance institutions, and youth enterprises, the event seeks to catalyse youth-focused investment and advance inclusive economic growth.

Held under the theme “The Road to a National Youth Fund”, the Indaba will provide a strategic platform for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration aimed at dismantling the systemic barriers that limit young people’s full participation in the economy.

In his keynote address, Deputy President Mashatile is expected to reaffirm government’s commitment to youth empowerment through sustainable investment partnerships that drive national development and job creation.

The NYDA’s 2025 Investment Indaba comes at a time when youth unemployment remains one of the country’s most pressing challenges, and innovative, scalable solutions are needed to unlock the potential of South Africa’s young population.

As a fellow believer in Africa’s potential, can I count on you to be a point of light in securing our continent’s future?
