Sermon Notes: 📝

On the 20^th of June 2015, I was ordered to officiate the funeral of my late friend, Mr Desmond Ngwenya. The funeral was on a Saturday morning, later on in the evening I flew to Holland (Netherlands) and the United States of America. On the 5^th of July 2015 I returned back to South Africa from United States of America. No One knows what Jesus told me, but I followed the calling.  Jesus has authored me to preach the Gospel until today. It was not easy to leave a massive church building like The Freeway Tabernacle (TFT). To be honest with you under leadership of Reverend Kgositsile Montoedi Kotu and Pastor Joyce Kotu. Jesus has authored them and as we speak, they are still preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and right now they will finish well through the Holy Servant Jesus Christ.

The reason why I preach faith so much is because of the thread on the fabric of God’s clothes.

You’re the pastor of the church, when God authors a sermon how do you finish it? The sermon sticks with you it starts in a seed form; it has to be first conceived so that by the time you receive what God is saying it becomes a concept that requires you have all the information together. While you are meditating, researching and thinking outside the box, the Holy Spirit is there and helping you every step of the way until there’s time to deliver a message.

 

Who authored your vision? 

Kgositsile Montoedi Kotu and Pastor Joyce Kotu have grown exponentially. Looking at my spiritual journey I realize that I’ve been preaching in our church, In His Presence Ministry International for a period of 6 years now. I’ve seen a lot of people start but didn’t finish. I have seen a lot of projects start and didn’t finish. I’ve always wondered why, because it seemed like these people in my way of thinking are anointed, talented etc, I mean it must be a success going somewhere to succeed. I want to talk about that today. I knew what the Lord told me to do. Before that we had always leased buildings as church like Mayors Hall Park Mzimhlophe, Emadwaleni High School, Phefini Hall, Mzimhlophe Hostel, Meadowlands East, Soweto’s Mzimhlophe Women’s Hostel, Nomzamo community Hall and Soweto Theatre. I believe in 2020 we move to Chiawelo Ext 3 because of the COVID 19 Pandemic, we have stayed here and the Lord told us that we are meant to grow exponentially. People have always asked me why does everything you touch prosper? Did God author your vision? Although Jesus is the Author and finisher of our faith, he is under no responsibility to finish something that he has not authored. The question for today is, Did Jesus author what you do currently?

Many people ask me why does everything you touch prosper. They think I have some kind of a formula. Let us open our Bible to the book of Hebrews 12-1-2, First you have got to figure out who is watching you, Not only are people on earth watching you but also people in heaven. Jesus pulls back the Curtain and He lets them see us right at times. I’m not talking about bad things because there’s no sorrow in Heaven, but I am going to prove that to you in just a minute. I am sure the people in heaven are aware of us the ones who’ve been here, well let me show you how to be successful. God began to answer my question through the word about these many people from Heaven who are watching us. How come your church building failed or your business failed?

I said did Jesus author your vision? You see God is the author and finisher of our faith but he’s under no responsibility to finish something He has not authored. Maybe you started Ministry or a Business, a Project that Jesus did not author. He’s under no responsibility to finish something he has not authored, it is true it seemed like a good idea but it wasn’t a God idea. We should always remember why church building exists. Church is a Jesus concept, not a man’s notion. Once we make church according to God’s instructions, we will begin to have God live in the church through the Holy Spirit. Everything we do is by faith.  Hebrews 11:6 says, “Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

Every God idea work good and function for eternity, but he’s under no responsibility to finish something he has not authored. Beloved saints I have seen people start out and not finish, some of them end up bankrupt. By the grace of God, we as a church have never had a financial deficit in any way shape or form why? I’ve had people say how come you could do that and we couldn’t do that and how come my church failed, I said Did Jesus author your vision? God is the finisher of our faith.   

Are you seeing a finished product between you and your spouse? As couple you need to bounce the ideas upon each other. Look at Abraham, he didn’t know where he was going but as far as he was concerned, he had promised land. When I started the ministry, I didn’t know how to build any but I knew where I was going.

I, Thank Heavenly Father in name of Jesus for Reverend Kgositsile Montoedi Kotu and Pastor Joyce Kotu. I honestly believe God was authoring a meeting between them. God saw this Ministry (IHPMI) through them. I believe he put this all together because he saw this ministry move to Chiawelo. Did God author your marriage or relationship with your partner? I came from a family that has divorced and I’ve prayed many times. I wanted my mom and dad to get back together. It is a blessing to finish strong with your life partner. Divorce is not an option. The truth is, you’re not compatible with anybody because no one agrees with anything you do. A great marriage is the union of two great forgivers. Remember that marriage is the greatest expression of God’s love for us. A tangible expression of Christ’s love for His Church. Let your marriage be a witness. Pay Attention to Your Spouse. Attention means love. Show Affection Your Spouse, Romans 12:10

1. Affirm each other’s value Proverbs 12:25, a word of encouragement does wonders.

2. You can also affirm each other’s strengths.

3. You can also affirm each other’s ministry, Romans 1:12 and James 5:16.

 

 

It Is Finished

The only person who finished everything he had on his plate before he died was Jesus Christ.

In John 4:34, Jesus said, “My food is to do what God wants! He is the one who sent me, and I must finish the work that he gave me to do”

You must make sure that you have covenant with Jesus Christ to finish what God has authored you to do before you depart the land of the living.

The Bible says, count the cost before you build the tower, so I did all the business aspects of it. I have seen a lot of Pastors who have raised money in their churches to build a building, through halfway the process they have to lay off people that were working for them in the church so that they could finish the building. I don’t think God wanted that to happen or I’ve even heard where the church would put pressure on the people to go get a mortgage in their home or give things like they shouldn’t do that. I’m not critical here but I really believe I am being truthful by right.     

Encouragement is the oxygen of the soul. Don’t Quit. Our God positions us in places that may not be for ourselves but to help someone else. To be a Barnabas basically to someone else, Barnabas was salt to Paul Apostle.

I didn’t give up because God authored it. I finished it and Lord Jesus helped me finish it. Those who went before us were probably praying and cheering us. I believe that people in heaven were saying come on Morgan Lekgetho Mogagabe you can do this, because they walked in Hebrews 11: 2-8.

Today right now in our church building we’re cheering you on. I want you to complete the vision that God has put in your heart. Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith and the plan that he has for your life must be fulfilled. There’s a lot of people that get born again they make that first step and they get weary on their journey and they get sidetracked, but Jesus has a plan to get them on track and position them where they might have to repent turn around realize that at some point, they’ve started living life on their own direction. God still has a plan and He’s doing this right now to help you to get back on track because he has a great plan that he wants you to finish and finish well.

It a process, you learn something when you go through trail and testing. Please decide to listen to the voice of God. You need to step out by faith. My unsolicited advice is, Don’t Quit. I knew the voice of God. The moment where God authored the vision. When I took that step, I felt Yes Lord I will do what you have called me to do. There are people who said to me you’re not going to make it and I just smiled and thought well the Lord has said to me you will finish well. I stepped out to full time ministry.

We need to finished our course and kept the faith. You can’t finish your course without the faith, you have to keep that faith that the author and finish of our faith has. If you want to build something, God is telling you to open up a church, God telling you to build a church yes, he did. Did Jesus author it because if he did, he is going to finish and pay it. But if he didn’t, you’re going to struggle. Only JESUS CAN AUTHOR AND FINISH IT. So, everything you do whether it’s spiritual, physical or financial it must be authored by God. Then remember he’s under no responsibility to finish something he hasn’t offered, so I believe in finishing things. For the witness’s sake, give not me the glory but give our Heavenly Father Glory. In every area. If you want to be debt free. So, finish it. You may not be able to buy something you want but one day you will buy everything you want, so if you’re standing on the word of God for a healing, he authored Healing now you finish it. How you finish that by saying in His stripes I am Healed.  I am not going with what I feel. I am not going with what I see. I am not going with the doctors say. I deny what the doctors say. I believe the report of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Every dream and every vision has a beginning a middle and an ending. We have to begin a lot of times we always keep our eye on the ending. I walk through the valley of the shadow. Even Jesus coming was God’s planned vision for the earth. Jesus was the lamb stain before the foundation on cross He says it’s finished. The Heavenly Father said it’s finished now begin because before Jesus. Jesus didn’t die 2000 years ago that was his physical death, He was a lamb led to the slaughter before the foundation of the earth. God had business and said I am going to create a human race and I love them. I am going to put my name in them and but they’re going to fail and Jesus the Son of God said what shall I do for thee.

He said I will lay down my life so you can have what your heart’s desire. That’s exactly what happened so that was all done before. God knows what’s is coming but somebody has to finish His Name is Jesus. Jesus had to born of a baby of a virgin. He had to grow up. He was without sin. God is involved in everything. God made man out of piece of dust.

Adam was a dirty man he’s made out of dirt but he didn’t make Eve like he. He made her out of a rib. The rib was better looking than the mud.  Adam and Eve when they came together, and God said be fruitful replenish and subdue be fruitful always produce multiply. Always increase replenish in other words use it up then fill up again. He said subdue in other words finish your course. Apostle Paul saying I fought a good fight of faith I finished my course I kept the faith. I always like to come to funerals and to see and observe how great men finish….
