Datatec’s Westcon-Comstor Acquires AWS Solution Provider and Consultancy Rebura

In a strategic move to enhance its cloud capabilities, Datatec, the international Information and Communications Technology (ICT) company, has announced the acquisition of Rebura, an award-winning Amazon Web Services (AWS) advanced consulting partner and solution provider, by its subsidiary Westcon-Comstor.

The acquisition is set to fortify Westcon-Comstor’s position in the market, providing a significant boost to its cloud services and channel-focused offerings. This development will empower Westcon-Comstor’s partners to deliver a comprehensive suite of AWS solutions, covering cloud consultancy, migration services, FinOps, AWS Marketplace excellence, and security-aligned professional services.

Rebura, a London-based company established in 2017, has gained recognition for its expertise in supporting AWS cloud migrations, along with its proficiency in Software as a Service (SaaS) and DevOps capabilities. The company has made its mark across the United Kingdom, Nordics, and central Europe.

Jens Montanana, Datatec’s Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the strategic importance of this acquisition. He stated, “The acquisition of Rebura, with its certified AWS migration services competency partner status, will significantly bolster Westcon-Comstor’s expertise and specialization in cybersecurity, creating a powerful cloud security offering for channel partners.”

The purchase consideration for this acquisition will be settled in cash from existing resources. It is important to note that this transaction is not subject to approval by Datatec shareholders, as it does not fall under categorizable transactions according to the JSE Listings Requirements.
