Chamisa attacks Mnangagwa over the demise of Mashava Mines

As the landmark and watershed impeachment of President Mnangagwa unfolds in the constitutional court of Zimbabwe, Chamisa added his voice to the unconstitutionality of the use of public power to digest and deprive the shareholders of SMM of the control and management of the company.

Mr MatthewTichaona of the Masvingo Mirror who attended the rally today said: “It was massive and the message of the centrality of holding the people who knowingly and intentionally orchestrated the hijack of SMM using the force of public power resonated well with the audience.”

Mirror Reporter – CCC president Nelson Chamisa has attacked Shabani Mashava Mines (SMM) administrator Arafas Gwaradzimba for running down the country’s sole asbestos producer.

Chamisa promised to return the mine to the original owner when his Government gets into power.

SMM was taken away from Mutumwa Mawere under murky circumstances and Gwaradzimba was appointed administrator by then Minister Patrick Chinamasa.

Then company went down until it closed, leaving thousands of workers destitute and out of jobs.
