December 2024 – A Glimpse Into the Growth of a Visionary Leader in the Mining Industry

In a sector traditionally dominated by men, it is not often that women take the spotlight. However, during our December 2024 feature on women in mining, one name stood out: Natasha, the CEO of Profusion Business Analysts. Natasha has forged a remarkable path in an industry filled with obstacles, securing monumental contracts from China’s largest steel producer, Baosteel, and driving change within the mining sector.

Determined to see how far Natasha has come since her recognition, we reached out for a follow-up interview. We wanted to understand the challenges she faces and the progress she’s made in such a competitive industry. Here’s what she had to say:

“For us, as long as the sun rises and sets, there’s always new hope. When I least expected it, a renowned chemical and plastic company showed interest in partnering with me. I was in awe, engaging with someone who is genuine and willing to give a woman-owned enterprise the support and financial freedom to make our new project materialize.”

With the backing of Baosteel, the support of her new partners, and most importantly, the dedication of her production team, Natasha is confident that Profusion Business Analysts is on a path toward success.

She also shared a quote that resonates deeply with her philosophy: “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” – Peter Drucker.

As Natasha continues to break barriers and redefine success in the mining sector, her story stands as a testament to the power of perseverance, collaboration, and the vision to turn challenges into opportunities. With powerful partnerships and a clear vision, she is paving the way for a new generation of women in mining.

As we reflect on her journey, we look forward to seeing how her leadership will inspire and shape the future of the industry.

I explore the role of these institutions in fulfilling the promise of a better Africa, and, most importantly, the causal link between the rule of law and economic development. As a fellow believer in Africa’s potential, can I count on you to be a point of light in securing our continent’s future?
