Following last week’s inaugural G20 Aviation Connect networking event under the Banking On Africa’s Future (BOAF) initiative, it is encouraging to see the conversation gaining momentum across the continent, including in Nigeria.

A powerful moment from the inaugural G20 Aviation Connect, leaders exchanging ideas on connecting Africa’s skies and shaping a unified aviation future.

In a recent public dialogue, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, described aviation as Africa’s “connecting tissue” and reaffirmed that open skies and harmonised policies are now an economic imperative. His remarks echo the very heart of why the G20 Aviation Connect platform was created.

But here’s the truth:

Policies alone won’t unlock Africa’s skies. People will.
Visionaries will. Collaborators will.

This is the moment for individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry players to step forward and work hand-in-hand with leaders willing to spark continental action.

Leaders like Tinashe Mpasiri and Jerry Mashamba, who are actively shaping platforms that convene minds, challenge the status quo, and push Africa toward a unified, modern, and economically vibrant aviation ecosystem.

The success of the first G20 Aviation Connect event proves one thing:
When vision meets collaboration, momentum becomes inevitable.

Africa cannot afford to delay.
Not when aviation has the power to unlock trade, empower youth, strengthen economies, and bind the continent together.

If you believe in the future of Africa’s skies, now is the time to connect, contribute, and collaborate.

The runway has already been cleared.
Let’s take off together.
