Johannesburg, South Africa | 27 October 2025 – The Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has announced the appointment of Ezra Rasethe as the new Vice Chair of its Youth Commission, a move that signals a renewed focus on empowering young entrepreneurs and professionals across South Africa.

Rasethe, the Founder and CEO of investRand, brings a wealth of experience and innovation to the role. His company, a leading South African proptech firm, is redefining how ordinary citizens engage with real estate investment. Through its digital platform, investRand connects working professionals with income-generating properties, reliable service providers, and accessible financing options, ultimately aiming to democratise property investment and make wealth creation through real estate attainable for all South Africans.
Holding a background in real estate development and investment from the University of Cape Town, Rasethe has long been driven by a mission to merge technology with social impact. He is also the founder of Infinity Property Group, a company focused on providing affordable student housing, addressing one of South Africa’s most pressing needs in higher education infrastructure.
Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Rasethe has demonstrated a commitment to leadership and community development. As President of the 4thDimension Toastmasters Club, he played a pivotal role in nurturing communication and leadership skills among young professionals, helping them develop confidence and clarity in their personal and professional lives.
Speaking on his appointment, Rasethe expressed gratitude and enthusiasm:
“The JCCI Youth Commission represents the future of enterprise in South Africa. My vision is to see young people not only participate in the economy but lead it, creating opportunities that uplift communities and drive sustainable growth.”
In his new role, Rasethe is expected to spearhead initiatives that promote youth entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and financial literacy, aligning with JCCI’s broader mission of fostering inclusive economic participation.
With a unique blend of strategic vision, business acumen, and community engagement, Ezra Rasethe continues to inspire a new generation of South Africans to pursue financial independence, personal growth, and lasting impact, both within and beyond the property sector.
Over the years, I have found it challenging to define myself solely by an academic qualification, trade, or occupation. My eagerness to learn, especially about how to build and deploy capital, has allowed me to accumulate diverse experiences in a short span of time. Through this journey, I have discovered that at my core, I am a storyteller. I tell the stories of corporations, their heritage, and the individuals who act in their name. I explore the role of these institutions in fulfilling the promise of a better Africa, and, most importantly, the causal link between the rule of law and economic development. As a fellow believer in Africa’s potential, can I count on you to be a point of light in securing our continent’s future?
