Zwnews24: Briefly describe yourself (background, personality, passions, dreams and aspirations etc.) so that readers (audience) can have a clear picture of who you are and what you stand for as a writer/blogger/author etc.

Author: My name is Bloom Tizora, I am an author, entrepreneur, motivational speaker, security advisor and a travel writer. I joined the Zimbabwe Republic Police in 2004 and resigned in 2012.  My dreams is to become an established author.

Zwnews24: What is your greatest reason and or motivation behind your writing career? What do you seek to achieve and why? If you have already published anything both in print or online, do you think you have achieved your goal or do you see yourself achieving those goals through your literary work?

Author: I write books as a hobby.  When I write books I want to preach about transparency. My aim is to make sure that readers get to see the hidden things. My first book is on Amazon and its performing well. So far, I have sold more than 100 copies since its launch on 27 January 2020.

Zwnews24: When and how did you start writing and what has been the impact of that move on you and on the people around you, including family and friends?

Author: I started writing in 2006 whilst I was still a policeman at Chirundu Border Post. Sadly I lost all my manuscripts then. It is quite encouraging that my family is supporting me 100% and the majority of my friends are also supporting me.

Zwnews24: What are the titles of the books that you have written so far? Would you describe what each of these books is all about and the intended benefit of each of these books to your audience? If you are a blogger, what is the name of your blog, what is it about and what is your intended benefit of this blog to your targeted audience?

Author: I published my first book on 27 January 2020 on Amazon and the book is titled Unforgettable Moments: My untold story life as a policeman in Zimbabwe. I have an upcoming book titled The Rise and Fall of Morgan Tsvangirai, which will be launched on 10 March 2020. I also have another book titled The Rules of Success set to be launched on 25 June 2020.

My book, Unforgettable Moments: My untold story life as a policeman in Zimbabwe is an autobiography about my life in the Zimbabwe Police Force. It is filled with my ups and downs and it also narrates how we did corruption and how we were forced to vote for Robert Mugabe. In my second book, The Rise and Fall of Morgan Tsvangirai, I look at the life of the veteran trade unionist, including his achievements and failures. My third book is titled The Secret Rules of Success. It’s a motivational book on how to be successful in life.

Zwnews24: If people want to buy your books or invest in your work, where can they find the books and how do they get in touch with you either for feedback on your work or any other related correspondence? If you are a blogger, please provide the link.

Author: My book is available on Amazon and readers can buy it from there for the meantime. All those who want to get in touch with me can contact me on WhatsApp +258 87 630 5058. Currently my books are not available as paperbacks and hard copies but I am working on it.

Zwnews24: What are your guiding values which determine what and how you write? Are there things that you do not write about at all or is there a certain approach to writing which you do not use because of these values? Share your insights.

Author: I write what is happening in my daily life. My life is also a book. I love politics and justice in my writings. I hate corruption and it’s my worst enemy.

Zwnews24: What has been the impact of your writing so far, both to you and your readers and how has it made you feel?

Author: My book has made my name to be known around the world. Every day, I receive calls from readers expressing their appreciation and gratitude for this book. I feel honored because of such recognition. However, some police officers and politicians have threatened me with arrest and death threats, even with some unknown people still visiting my family house in Glendale, Zimbabwe.

Zwnews24: What has been some of the most cherished and memorable feedback that you have received from your readers so far and how has it impacted you in your pursuit of literature, either as a profession or as a hobby? Please share some of the priceless feedback that you received from your readers.

Author: I remember a journalist in Australia once called me talking about turning my book into a film. I also receive feedback from both serving and non-serving police officers praising my book. The same goes for some civilians as well. The book has changed my life dramatically since I now know that as a person, my voice can be heard by the world.

Zwnews24: What is it that makes you to continue writing regardless of the various challenges that are associated with this profession or undertaking? How do you overcome the related hurdles?

Author: I was born an author and I want to share my thoughts, experiences and life story with the world. Unfortunately, there are some threats of being arrested by the police because of the contents of my book but that will not make me quit. Like the biblical Moses, I will reach Canaan.

Zwnews24: What are your words of advice and motivation to other writers, both the established and aspiring ones in their pursuit of literature, either as their hobby or profession?

Author: To those who haven’t published yet, I say fear nothing, for the sky is your only limit and please don’t be discouraged by anyone.

Zwnews24: How deep is your passion for literature? What have you already done, what are you planning to do and how far would you go to promote literature in your community, in your country or across the whole world?

Author:  I love writing books and I feel inspired when I do so. I plan to launch my upcoming book which is about Zimbabwe politics.

Zwnews24: Have you ever won an award or have you ever been nominated for an award on your literary work? If yes, please share your story about this award and the impact it had on you.

Author: So far have not been nominated for any award but I would love to.
