Diaspora Meds – Enabling African Immigrants Across the World to cater for the health care needs of the loved ones back Home

The genesis of Diaspora Meds was inspired by the plethora of the healthcare system in Africa. According to Margaret E Kruk, MD et al. 2018, 85 709 deaths occurred in the Southern Sub-Saharan region due to poor quality in the health service.

These bad healthcare systems are also contributing as push factors for immigration of many capable Africans into the Diaspora. These African immigrants are experiencing the best healthcare systems in their country of domicile. 

The concept of Diaspora Meds was therefore premised on leveraging on the diaspora to finance and better the health service provision back in Africa.

To date, Diaspora Meds has established relationships in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana and Nigeria.

These relationships provide platforms for numerous African immigrants to cater for the private healthcare needs for their loved ones back home.

Diaspora meds has relationships with thousands of private healthcare providers across the countries we operate that provide unapparelled service to beneficiaries of numerous sponsors. 

The overall vision is to increase investment into the health space in Africa with the hope that domino effect will be increased quality in healthcare service provision.

Diaspora Meds provides a bespoke medical insurance product that tries to mirror first world standards of medical service provision. Our mandate is to ensure that African immigrants living across the world have peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are well taken care of back home.
