The promise and challenges of the rule of law as a bridge to the Africa I Want can best be identified by having open, frank and honest conversations in shaping and defining the character and personality of the future we all want collectively in our communities.

WhatsApp groups enable individuals to come together in one place yet in different geographical locations, allowing individuals to share personal experiences and insights of how best the Africa each one individual wants can best be secured.

Below are extracts from the BOAF Leadership whatsapp group whose link is attached hereto, for one to join and expand the conversation.

[2/20, 5:58 AM] Brian Manyati: Thank you 🙏🏽
[2/20, 6:28 AM] mdmawere1: Morning
[2/20, 6:29 AM] Brian Manyati: Woke up well thanks
[2/20, 6:29 AM] mdmawere1: Great
[2/20, 6:29 AM] Brian Manyati: Hoping you too did woke up well
[2/20, 6:37 AM] mdmawere1: Have you read the above chat that started with a departure point being a remark comparing me to Hon Mliswa as possible PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL and what then followed?

This is the remark:

“Presidential candidate material!…sewe Mzukuru.💥”

Do you think there is a cause to broaden the conversation on the problem statement WHAT DOES PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL MEAN IN TERMS OF THE QUEST FOR STATECRAFT LITERACY AND PURSUIT OF GOVERNANCE MATERIAL using the chat as a trigger to PROVOKE, IGNITE AND INSPIRE the shaping of the Africa you want as a conversation powered by BOAF – C2C community power building initiative civics literacy campaign?
[2/20, 6:40 AM] Brian Manyati: I read, and got not any interest in the private or family chat to be true. So I let sleeping dogs lie than comment. That you shared out to me I humbly appreciate it.
[2/20, 6:48 AM] mdmawere1: Do you agree that humanity without affinity whether family or non-family community building is DEAD?
[2/20, 6:54 AM] Brian Manyati: I kindly have no comment for I respect fully the private exchange of views at your family level as transpired.
[2/20, 6:56 AM] mdmawere1: [2/20, 6:48 AM] Tafara Moyo: Presidential matereal

I have always said it that you are presidential matereal
[2/20, 6:50 AM] Tafara Moyo: All this issue of theft of your componies are machinations to impair you and knock you out
[2/20, 6:51 AM] mdmawere1: Have you noted that no shared understanding exists between you and me whether in terms of the constitution, you have title and jurisdiction to make this utterance because pregnant in it is an idea rejected by humanity that power apartheid is fine when the rule of law is premised on the doctrine of equality?
[2/20, 6:53 AM] mdmawere1: Is it theft or an attack on the rule of law with you thinking that s2 of the constitution and its prescripts is moot and irrelevant.

Do you personally respect the constitution as a living thing that imposes obligations on you?
[2/20, 6:58 AM] mdmawere1: Are you a tribalist to allow the obligations imposed by s2 of the constitution to divide humanity into family and others?
[2/20, 7:02 AM] Brian Manyati: With all due respect I just kindly am not interested 🙏🏽
[2/20, 7:03 AM] mdmawere1: Does the constitution provide for discretionary interest?
[2/20, 7:04 AM] Brian Manyati: Be it on the constitution or not anything flowing from that thread I am not interested
[2/20, 7:05 AM] mdmawere1: It would appear that the constitution is irrelevant to you?
[2/20, 7:06 AM] Brian Manyati: It is well with me Sire
[2/20, 7:07 AM] Brian Manyati: Will be going out now.
[2/20, 7:12 AM] mdmawere1: If this is your position, then surely, I am compelled to obey, respect, uphold and defend the constitution.

I believe that no one is above and should be above the constitution.

If I am prepared to lose a relative over this, then I am signing off by saying that a future of Africa pregnant with your views is not for me.

Please where you see my name in any community power building campaign henceforth delete it lest I may be confused with your respected worldview that the rule of law is irrelevant.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PERSPECTIVES AND CONSEQUENT CHOICES AND ACTIONS.
[2/20, 7:15 AM] mdmawere1: CELEBRATING DIVESITY OF VIEWS ON CIVICS LITERACY

[2/20, 7:00 AM] Tafara Moyo: Sometimes we have to uproot the problem
[2/20, 7:04 AM] mdmawere1: Who is WE?
[2/20, 7:06 AM] Tafara Moyo: I respect it and will always do but when there is this kind of judicial haemorrhage sometimes we have to find alternatives to transcend such obstacles
[2/20, 7:06 AM] Tafara Moyo: You and me
[2/20, 7:14 AM] mdmawere1: What do you think is the alternative to the rule of law and constitutionalism?
[2/20, 7:16 AM] Brian Manyati: I simply denied to comment on your shared thread on your family level conversation or exchange, it is all I know.
[2/20, 7:17 AM] Brian Manyati: Failure to respond won’t be ignoring you, for real I am going out now.
[2/20, 7:18 AM] mdmawere1: The constitution obligates and my duty is to obey through activism and not hypocrisy.

I have understood that we have no shared understanding.
[2/20, 7:20 AM] Brian Manyati: You just got no basis for that conclusion Sire. I just simply chose not to comment on the thread.
[2/20, 7:20 AM] mdmawere1: I BELIEVE THAT ABSENT THE RULE OF LAW THERE IS POVERTY AND NO PROPERTY.
[2/20, 7:24 AM] mdmawere1: PLEASE RESPECT YOURSELF SO THAT OTHERS RESPECT YOU WITHOUT JUDGING OTHERS BECAUSE YOU MAY THINK YOU ARE ALWAYS RIGHT.

THE CONSTITUTION IMPOSES OBLIGATIONS ON EVERY PERSON TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT IT IN THOUGHT AND DEED.

THIS IS FUNDAMENTAL.

NO basis to associate if values are not aligned.
[2/20, 7:27 AM] mdmawere1: [2/20, 7:19 AM] mdmawere1: Why have a constitution then or divorces?
[2/20, 7:25 AM] Tafara Moyo: Everybody has duty to S2 but if see th reality of th situation is without righting th political framework. The constitution is always a victim of rape

17 years is too long a time for instance for justice to be done on SMM

If it can go this far with indefference from the judiciary, parliament and executive it can cost a lifetime for one single case of justice to be delivered
[2/20, 7:26 AM] mdmawere1: ARE YOU ABOVE OR SUBJECT TO THE CONSTIUTION?
